The Form & Field Signal Table Lamp is designed to function as both lighting and object — a sculptural piece that brings atmosphere, structure and visual rhythm to a room.
Rather than relying on a single shade or conventional lamp silhouette, the Signal Table Lamp is composed from a sequence of stacked glass elements arranged along a central axis. Each form contributes to the overall composition, creating a balanced vertical structure that feels architectural rather than decorative.
The layered glass introduces subtle shifts in tone and transparency, allowing light to travel gently through the structure. When illuminated, the integrated LED produces a warm ambient glow that softens the surrounding space while highlighting the depth of the glass elements.
During the day, the lamp reads as a sculptural design object. In the evening, it transforms into a softly glowing light source that enhances the mood and atmosphere of the room.
The result is a modern table lamp that adds character without overwhelming the space.
Table of Contents
Designed for Bedside and Living Spaces
Table lamps often play a quiet but essential role in interior design. Positioned at eye level, they provide softer illumination than overhead lighting while helping to establish layers of light throughout a room.
The Signal Table Lamp is particularly suited to spaces where lighting needs to feel intentional rather than purely functional.
Ideal placements include:
• beside a bed as a bedside table lamp
• on a side table next to lounge seating
• on a console table within an entryway
• as accent lighting within shelving or display areas
Because the lamp introduces vertical structure without taking up excessive surface space, it works beautifully in both compact interiors and larger open-plan spaces.
Placed beside the Form & Field Moss Static Acrylic Side Table, the translucent acrylic surface subtly reflects and amplifies the lamp’s glow, creating a layered lighting effect that enhances the overall atmosphere of the room.
Sculptural Lighting with Atmosphere
What distinguishes the Signal Table Lamp is its balance between sculpture and illumination.
The stacked glass forms create a sense of visual rhythm, drawing the eye upward while maintaining a soft, organic silhouette. This allows the lamp to introduce presence without appearing heavy or overly technical.
The integrated LED light source diffuses through the glass elements rather than projecting a harsh beam. This creates a warm ambient glow that complements the surrounding colours and textures within a room.
Instead of dominating the space, the lamp becomes part of the broader interior composition.
It is lighting designed to enhance atmosphere rather than simply provide brightness.
Part of the Signal Lighting Series
The Signal Table Lamp forms part of the Signal Lighting Series within the Form & Field Edit.
The collection includes:
• Signal Pendant Light — a suspended sculptural light designed to introduce vertical structure
• Signal Floor Lamp — a tall lighting piece that anchors living spaces with soft ambient illumination
Used together, these pieces allow interiors to create layered lighting across multiple heights within a room. Pendant lighting provides overhead structure, floor lamps introduce vertical balance, and table lamps deliver softer eye-level illumination.
This layered approach creates depth and atmosphere throughout the space while maintaining a cohesive design language.

Hand Finished to Order
Each Signal Table Lamp is hand finished specifically for your order to maintain the precision of the glass construction and assembly.
Because of this craftsmanship-led process, the estimated production lead time is approximately 4 weeks before dispatch.
This ensures each piece is finished with care and attention rather than rushed through large production runs.
